In addition to heading up Supply+Protect, Amber is founder and CEO of PPE Access Canada, a not-for-profit developed in collaboration with Mohawk Medbuy and Stevens, with grant funding from the Canadian Medical Association/Joule. Joule offers a wide range of COVID-related resources for physicians. Amber is also Managing Partner at Catalyst Capital, a firm focussed on technology and other innovative investments in the Waterloo Region.
PARTNER, FORMER DRAGON
David, entrepreneur and former CBC Dragon, is an economics graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University. In 1985, he won the award for the highest mark in the country on the Canadian Securities Course. In 1989, he released his financial planning book, The Wealthy Barber. It went on to sell an astonishing two million copies in Canada. His latest book, The Wealthy Barber Returns, is also a runaway Canadian bestseller.
Lee Barter is a global sourcing and procurement expert with deep experience sourcing critical supplies to support Canada’s pandemic response. He has led teams responsible for sourcing COVID-19 PPE for provincial and federal Canadian governments, as well as advised the Johns Hopkins Health System and UK Cabinet Office. Lee has sourced and negotiated billions in PPE contracts from key supply markets, particularly China and the Canadian domestic market.

Erin is the Executive Creative Director and co-founder of Him & Her, a multidisciplinary marketing and communications firm. Fuelled by a passion for thoughtful design, Erin has worked for Fortune 500 companies including Blackberry, HTC, Amour All and Sun Life to assist with their digital marketing needs. She leads a world-class team driving accelerated growth through strategy and design for small-to-medium-sized businesses across Canada.
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, PARTNER
Justin is the Director of Technology and co-founder of Him & Her, a multidisciplinary marketing and communications firm. He developed a strong background in big data, large software systems and ERP while working for Blackberry and Magnet Forensics. He leads a top-tier team building marketing funnels, websites, eCommerce solutions and custom software.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
David has worked in Waterloo’s renowned tech sector for his entire career. He joined his first startup right after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a BA and MA in History. Some of the companies he has worked with as an employee or as a contractor include Knowledgehook, Rapid Novor, Voltera, and Nicoya. He has worked with Junior Achievement for the last three years, mentoring students in building their own businesses in the Company Program.
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Lexus started working alongside Amber in Amber’s first not-for-profit initiative, PPE Access. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier with a BA in Communications, Lexus continued her studies at Conestoga College in Public Relations. She has worked in new business development for scale-ups throughout the community, in both the private and public sectors. Lexus was also a mentor to students in Technovation Waterloo, a program that teaches problem-solving through creating and using technology.
Christina has been working with Amber at PPE Access and is excited to join the S+P team. She has been excelling in a customer service role for the past two years and will continue in that role with S+P. In her spare time, you can find Christina cheering on the Leafs and joining in any sport she can find.
